Hi, thanks for your comment.

You can set up the MyStar to automatically add extra time to the start and/or end of all Satellite and/or Terrestrial (Free-to-air) recordings. Here's how...

1. Press the remote's "Setup" button.
2. Select "MyStar Settings"
3. Select "Record Settings"
4. Select "Satellite Start", Satellite End", "Terrestrial Start", "Terrestrial End" and set the extra time(s) as appropriate.

I have all set to 5 minutes.

Hope this helps...

I have just moved from the city to the country. I had a Foxtel IQ which was a dream, and naturally I can't get Foxtel where I have relocated to and now I am stuck with this inferior Austar heap of crap (for the same price I was paying for the Foxtel IQ, might I add).

You have listed some of the problems I was having... I couldn't work out how to fix. For some reason a 1/2 hour show only ever records 28 minutes unless you specify extra time at the beginning and end of each individual program. On Foxtel you could add a blanket amount at the start and end of EVERYTHING if you wanted.

Series link is a farce - at least I realise now after reading your post WHY things were disappearing. Silly me, deleting stuff I had already watched.
